For those who don't care as much they can just skip those. For those who don't want to read, they're examples throughout the book in easy to identify blue boxes where the apathetic reader can just memorize the steps to solve the problem. For those who even care less, there are summaries at the end of each 40 pg chapter. Well this book is dense, sometimes the explanations are drawn out and far too advanced for an introductory college level chemistry course, but it really does provide a firm foundation and supplement for a chemistry class. It is also a great reference for someone who likes to skip 8am chem class in favor of sleep. Pretty easy to understand, and everything you would ever possibly want to know about a chem concept can be found in this book.
